Listed below are some of the musicians, composers, and bands that I enjoy listening to. You really will not find much of anything listed here that can be heard on the average local commercial FM station. Firstly, the large majority of FM stations throughout the US are owned by a handful of the same people. They control the music that is played on their stations or networks -- so listeners essentially are forced to listen to whatever the owner decides to have broadcast, whether it be something good or just garbage (usually the latter). Most of the music in the "pop" genre out there today is really quite lame when you analyze it. There's no depth to it, it's cheap and shallow. Furthermore, pop musicians (if they may be called that) all sound alike, stemming from a lack of creativity! So please check out some of the following bands and musicians if you prefer not to be a mindless drone who listens to whatever big corporations spoon-feed you.

I will add more detailed information about some of these entries as I find the time. Please be patient.
